Parents of new students will have to complete a registration packet that can be obtained through our front office during office hours.  In addition to this completed packet the following documents are needed to complete enrollment:

  • Certified birth certificate
  • Record of immunizations
  • Last report card, withdrawal documentation, or transcript from the previous school
  • Current proof of residency in the attendance area of enrolling school (lease deed of trust or mortgage statement AND most recent utility bill)
  • Completed North Carolina Health Assessment
  • Photo Identification of 1 custodial parent or guardian

Summer Reading Sun GraphicDear Parents/ Guardians:

We believe strongly in the importance and benefits of a summer reading program.  Reading a good book during the summer enhances student achievement and stimulates a lifelong interest in reading for pleasure.

In order to support the academic rigor we require during the school year, we are continuing with a mandatory summer reading activity for all students attending John Griffin Middle School.  All Students are required to read one book from the choices listed below for the 2017–2018 academic year. New students may be alotted additional time to complete their projects based on their date of enrollment.  Please see the links below for more information.
